FAQs

An aluminum starter strip is a metal trim installed at the base of a siding wall. It creates a straight, secure starting line so the first course of siding locks in correctly, which keeps the rest of the siding aligned and helps prevent sagging or separation over time.

This product is a 2-1/2โ€ณ aluminum starter strip, sold by the box. Each box contains 50 pieces, making it suited for contractors and larger projects rather than one-off repairs.

It is sold by the box only, not by individual pieces.

The starter strip is made from rustโ€‘resistant aluminum. Aluminum doesnโ€™t rust like steel does, which makes it a strong choice for longโ€‘term exterior use in varying weather conditions.
